at times life gets kinda hard
all you want is for time to pass

you want to see yourself in a couple of years
you want to have your future all figured out now

you don't even know who you'll marry, or even
if you'll get married someday

yet you always daydream about it
and imagine how it will be

but it's always kind of annoying
having to put a question mark on Mr. Right's face

so you get all happy and excited
when you can daydream with an actual face

do i confuse you? i know you understand
it's nicer when you have someone to dream about

even if what you feel is not corresponded
or even if nothing will ever happen

your days are brighter when you like someone
you feel more alive and an illusion grows inside of you

the sweet process of becoming someone's girlfriend
is full of giggles, smiles and butterflies in your stomach

it's a beautiful feeling, a unique sensation
wondering if the other person likes you too

seeing all the signs of whatever it might be
all the indirect messages and all that silly stuff

it's a fun time, that if something happens
will always be remembered with laughter

and if nothing happens, it will also be remembered
as something beautiful that could've been much more
but wasn't meant to.
